Faculty Senate Elections
Faculty Senate elections for three-year terms (2024-2027) are being held this spring to fill open seats in the Senate. Not all academic units within the University have open seats this year, and some academic units have the same number of open seats as they have candidates running for office, and thus will not vote.

Who May Vote
Any regular continuous full-time faculty member (tenured, tenure-track, senior lecturer, lecturer, instructor, academic professional), who is not an administrator at or above the rank of academic associate dean, may vote. You may only vote one time, but you may mark your ballot for as many candidates as there are open Senate seats.
When and How to Vote
Electronic elections will take place beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, and continuing through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024. Voters may access ballots at any time during this period.
Tallying of Votes
The results will be tabulated and delivered electronically to the Secretary of the Faculty Senate on Friday, March 1, 2024. At no time during the election process shall faculty names or identifiable information be collected other than to verify voting eligibility and prevent faculty members from casting more than one ballot.
In the event of a tie, the Secretary will seek to mediate an outcome with the candidates in question. If no clear winner can be determined, a special run-off election will be held to determine the winner.
Thank you for your participation in the election process and for your support of your Faculty Senate.
